Curriculum Details
The course consists of 50 hours of in-class content. It is expected that two hours per week would be spent completing homework counselling practice activities, review questions and case studies. Assignments amount to the final 50 hours. This provides a total of 150 hours of total course content.
Assessment
There are three assignments to be completed
It is expected that the goal setting assignment would take 10 hours to complete as would the Personal Skills Profile. Students are to complete a minimum of 30 hours of counselling practice in their own time which is recorded and submitted in a Log Book for assessment and feedback.
Course Accreditation
The course has been accredited with the Australian Holistic Healer’s Association as follows:
· One modality in Holistic Counselling
· 100 hours accrued towards the total hours required for membership
Method of delivery
All course content is contained within the two manuals. The CD’s that accompany the manuals provide students with greater depth and examples of how to and how not to counsel clients.
Time-line
The correspondence course can be commenced at any time and completed at your own pace. It has been designed as a 6 month course, extensions are available.
